You have heard it over and over again, “ It’s not what you know, but who you know.” I like to think that it’s a good mixture of both. Networking events are a great way to meet like minded people and introduce your products or services. Usually in a networking event, like a social setting, placed in a bar or restaurant, it makes it easier to communicate with others. My advice, exchange business cards with everyone in the room, and always send a follow up email, this way you leave a lasting impression.

Social Media

In my personal opinion, in this day and age, it’s almost impossible for your business to survive without establishing a social media presence. Every business encounter you make will almost always end in “ What’s your facebook and or Instagram Page?” In other words create and expand your social media presence. Best business investment you can make.

Word of Mouth

“MAKE THE CALL!” Literally, pick up the phone and make the call. It’s not always the easiest thing to do, but if you’re in the sales business, it’s vital. Introduce yourself, make the sale, and have a strong closing. Always have a follow up plan after a sale. Call back to say thank you for the sale, trust me it goes a long way.
